Applications

VIDMAR has developed a weigh feeder that complies with all requirements for ferrous sulphate dosing, both dry and humid.  Due to the corrosion experienced by carbon steel when in contact with ferrous sulphate, the belt weigh feeders to handle this material are manufactured with stainless steel.

This belt weigh feeder is capable to convey, weigh and dose ferrous sulphate with an accuracy of ±0,5% along the whole flow range, from 25 kg/h up to 1000kg/h. As previously remarked, this material has particularities that make very special its handling and dosing process.

     General characteristics.

  • Internal and external belt cleaner

  • Inlet hopper

  • Belt displacement detector on both sides

  • Rotation detector

  • AC motor, IP-55

  • Hollow shaft gear coupled directly to motor

  • Load cell provided with overload protection system

 		 

  • Rigid chassis manufactured with bent CR steel provided designed to ease belt extraction.

  • Main and driven drum pulleys 160mm diameter, manufactured with a slight conicity to the extremes to facilitate belt centring

  • Supplied with encoder for digital speed reading. Encoder coupled directly to motor.

  • Weigh bridge provided with load cell 3000 divisions OIML, IP-67, output 2 mV/V.

Weigh bridge

Weigh bridge is composed by three

equidistant idlers having a throughing

angle of 10º.

Mid idler is supplied with a load cell to

determine load on weigh bridge.
